12.8T 2U High Capacity DCI Transport System for Core Fiber Networks

The 12.8T 2U DCI transport system offers ultra-high capacity, supporting flexible transmission at 100G–800G. Purposefully designed for core fiber networks to allow for scalable efficiency, long-distance high reliability transmission, and simple low-cost high-density deployments.

The high capacity 12.8T-2U DCI Transport System is targeted at core fiber networks and other large-scale data center interconnect applications with a need for maximum bandwidth and stability. It provides a considerable increase in the network capacity without footprint expansion, with programmable rates from 100G to 800G up to 12.8T per chassis.


With high-density design, flexible optical configuration and carrier-grade protection features, the system realizes long-distance, high-efficiency transmission and reduce overall deployment and operational costs.


High-Capacity & Scalable Transmission


Core networks require massive scale and flexible scalability. It is designed for multi-use transmission needs while maximising fiber utilisation.


  • Transmission with an ultra-high density of a maximum 12.8Tbit/s transmission per chassis

  • Programmable rates from 100G–800G with advanced modulation (QPSK / ~8QAM–16 QAM)

  • A greater than 120 customizable grid manageable wavelengths - 6.25GHz granularity


This allows operators to fulfil capacity without excessive fibre growth or Capex.


High-Density Design & Efficient Deployment


Space efficiency and scalability are vital for core and metro deployments. It is best suited for high volume integration and the expansion component.

  • Accommodates standard 19-inch cabinets featuring a minimum depth of 600mm

  • Flexible Serviced Configuration with upto 8 service slots

Flexible Service Access & Open Integration


That means full-holes interoperatability with no limitation between services and platforms within fairly overhead networks. This system includes flexible access and open integration capabilities.


  • Provides 10GE–400GE, OTU2/OTU4 and FC services

  • Pluggable optical: QSFP28, QSFP-DD, CFP2 OSFP

  • Integration with third party NMS/SDN systems via Open APIs


This enables seamless transition of network architecture without lock-in with any vendor.


Carrier-Grade Protection & High Reliability


Stability at the core fiber infrastructure level is fundamental. It is structured with a comprehensive set of protections to allow for constant availability.


  • End-to-end reliability: OLP / OMSP / OCHP protection

  • Key line-side ports and power modules with 1+1 protection

  • External ALS and AGC for optical safety & signal consistency


This minimizes the risk of downtime and guarantees its stable transmission over long distances.


Intelligent Network Management


O&M must be more efficient at large scale Management tools to give you visibility and control over, well, everything


  • Management done via CLI, Web (Nixplay Cloud website), SNMP, NETCONF and GUI

  • Continuous monitoring of optical power, temperature and status

  • Centralized Network Orchestration with OSC-based DCN
